Questions
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static code holds your data inside the pattern. A dynamic code holds a short link to a server, and the server sends people on. This page makes static codes only. Nobody can change them, track them or switch them off.
Does the QR code expire?
No. A static code does not use a server, so nothing can stop working. Some other sites make dynamic codes and ask you to pay to keep them. Their codes stop working when you stop paying. These codes do not.
Is it safe to put a logo in the middle?
Yes, if the logo is small. The page sets the error correction to H when you add a logo. The logo covers at most 20% of the code width. Read the scan check, and test the code with your phone.
How do I make a QR code for my Wi-Fi?
Choose Wi-Fi. Type the network name and the password. Choose the security type of your router. Most routers use WPA. A phone camera then joins the network after one tap.
Does the page upload my text or my logo?
No. The page makes the code in your browser. It sends no text, no logo and no picture. It has no account and no tracking. Read more about privacy.
How do I read a QR code from a picture?
Use the QR code reader. Choose a picture, or paste one. The page shows the text in the code. It does not open links by itself. Open the QR code reader.
